Work with the Disabled
In 2003, Le Pichon moved to Sisteron in the south of France to coordinate the work of the Thomas Philippe House (La Maison Thomas Philippe), a facility that helps people with psychologically ill family members. The property is also referred to as la Pène. (Note that the site from La Maison Thomas Philippe is in French. You can view a translated version of the site here.)
New and Noteworthy
- Le Pichon co-Chaired the Templeton Foundation-sponsored Learning from the Disabled conference in France in 2007. This conference was held near the site of Jean Vanier's first l'Arche community.
- Le Pichon participated in a panel at the 2009 World Science Festival in New York City: What it Means to be Human:The Enigma of Altruism.
