Book designer Scott-Martin Kosofsky discovered new facets of Jewish practice and tradition when he adapted a medieval Jewish guidebook called The Book of Customs. He tells us what he learned about the meaning of custom, scripture, and prayer, as well as his insights into what he calls this "surprising" season of Hanukkah.
